On April 20-21, 2017, the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems and Prospects of IT Industry Development” was held at the Semen Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University.

With a welcoming speech to the conference was made by head of the оrganizing committee, rector of Semen Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Scientist of Ukraine Volodymyr S. Ponomarenko.

The conference reviewed the results of scientific research in the field of development and practical application of modern information technology. The conference was attended by scientists from Ukraine, Australia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Romania, France.

The conference participants actively exchanged experience and discussed the results of new and advanced studies in the areas considered at the sessions of the sections:
• Information technology in technical systems.
• Protection of information in information and communication systems.
• Information technology in economics, ecology, medicine and education.
• Computerized technologies and systems of publishing and printing industries and electronic multimedia editions.

Plenary April 20, 2017 report revealed by Yevseiev S. P., Ph.D., assistant professor of information systems Semen Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University – “The methodology of the security system of banking information. Analysis of problems and Synthesis of new solutions”.

The plenary session was the report by Gorokhovatskyi O. V., Ph.D., assistant professor of computer science and computer engineering Semen Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University – “Neocognitron as a tool for pattern recognition”.

In plenary session Potrashkova L. V., Ph.D., assistant professor of computer systems and technologies Semen Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University presented a report “Information support for the implementation of social responsibility of business”.

Completed plenary session by Malchenkov S. M., graduate student of Sumy State University (SSU) with the report “Converting binary to Fibonacci-octonary.” The work was carried out under the guidance of Borisenko A. A., Ph.D., prof., Head. Dep. “Electric power industry” of SSU and in cooperation with Savostyan A. N., Posnaya E. M.

As a result of the work of the IX International scientific and practical conference “Problems and Prospects of IT Industry Development” is a collection of Theses, a collective monograph “Information technologies: problems and perspectives” was published, as well as articles in the professional edition of “Information Processing Systems”, No. 2 (148 ).
